Tokido Reacts To Akuma Trailer

With the release of Akuma coming later this month along with the second season of Street Fighter 6, fans have been very excited about his release. 

One of the most excited is Tokido, an Evo winner and Capcom Cup Grand Finalist, Tokido has for many years been almost synonymous with his famous main, Akuma. So, when the trailer was released, beyond the excitement for the character himself, several stakeholders in the FGC were curious as to how the legend would react to the character. 

Tokido released a video on his YouTube channel where he reacted to Akuma and from his expression it is clear to see that he is seriously anticipating this character. Akuma is the character with whom Tokido has had the most success winning Evo 2017 and several other tournaments with the Satsui No Hado practitioner. 

When Akuma was nerfed in Street Fighter V, it was a bit of a problem for Tokido who started looking for other characters to use, settling on Urien for quite a bit and also switching to Luke. 

The video is in Japanese but has English subtitles so that fans from all corners of the world can enjoy it. 

Akuma will be released on the 22nd of May 2024.
