Titans Clash In Juggernaut Match in Week 4 of Street Fighter League US

The table is too close to call after these week's results in Street Fighter League USA.

Team Matches

• Fighting Spirit vs Shopify Rebellion
• Cloud9 vs Red Rooster
• FlyQuest vs Bandits

As at last week, Punk was the undisputed MVP of the league with storming results ensuring his team sat at the top of the table. But, any team that has MenaRD will always be a top contender and so it was this week as the most anticipated match between Bandits and FlyQuest took place. Bandits who were away put out a team list with Caba, Luiman and Mena taking the anchor spot in preparation for the inevitable Punk match. 

Caba, who has been filling in the anchor position and doing really well, fell to ChrisCCH, who recovered from an intial loss to turn it around. The second match which featured Mena's biological brother, Luiman, was something of a vindication for the Dhalsim main who some might think isn't on the team by merit. But, he has two wins now, and his victory tied up the set. And so, the last match was between Punk and Mena with the latter going back to Zangief and as he stated in the winners' interview, he felt that Punk had figured out his Blanka, and so Zangief was the next choice. Punk for his part, was still pretty good, but Mena was able to stem the tide and win for his team. 

This also propelled Bandits to the top of the table and has set up a situation where Bandits, FlyQuest and Cloud9 who defeated Red Rooster, are all on 105 points. Fighting Spirit also defeated Shopify Rebellion, who many believe aren't playing up to their potential, and therefore, are in danger of missing out on the playoff spots. 

The next set of matches will pit the two bottom teams against each other while FlyQuest will need to deal with the maverick team of Cloud9. Finally, Bandits will take on Fighting Spirit to see if they can consolidate their position at the top.
