Tekken Switches to Dev Feedback Forum as The Main Source of Feedback
And it's now the only way to ensure that your opinions and suggestions are seen by developers.

Following two extremely turbulent seasons in a row, Tekken teams seems to have decided that it needs better avenue for player feedback than a hashtag on X.

To try and replace it with a more efficient system, they have now launched Tekken Dev Feedback Portal.

The process works in two steps. First people submit their issues on the web forum, where their submissions will go through moderation and get posted in the official Discord for Dev Feedback Portal. After that everyone can chime in and discuss the proposed issues or suggestions.

Supposedly, the submissions that pass moderation will be passed on to the dev team, who will then consider if it's something that they should be acting on.

As you might expect, however, people weren't happy to hear this. This is somewhat inevitable when a developer suggests a less direct form of submitting feedback, it is a deliberate move to create distance between players who want to be heard by developers.

Yet it's impossible to deny that things weren't healthy. Tekken has a large community with a lot of players who feel that their personal attachment to the franchise makes hostility towards devs, including personal insults and slurs, entirely justified.

A more realistic concern about the move to a web forum as the main source of feedback is the same one that existed before all this – how will the devs actually respond to said feedback. The direction of not just the patches but the franchise as whole has left many questioning if developers are in touch with the game's community. Voicing concerns only matters if at the end of the day it's used to make the game better.
