Tekken 8 Releases Tekken World Tour 2025 Details
The action resumes from the 9th of May

The Tekken World Tour is back for 2025.

The annual celebration of the competitive Tekken scene has returned, and Bandai Namco has released details on how the tour will work this year. Among other things, they have added more master+ events, have added more regions, and there are several tournaments through which players can qualify from.

While Tekken 8 is going through a lot right now regarding the state of the game, there is still a lot of excitement for the competitive year of Tekken.

The tour will kick off with one of three master+ events, Evo Japan. The other master+ events are Evo and Evo France. The winner of any of these will gain a massive 800 points and will do well on the global leaderboard. There are also 9 master events and 21 challenger events.

The announcement also made clear that the number of players that make it from the leaderboard will be revealed later, and there is also no indication of what the prize pool looks like. All will be revealed in due time.

The expansion of regions is great especially for Africa as Tekken 8 will effectively be available all over the continent, which is something fans have hoped Street Fighter 6 will do.
