The winner was obvious and he did not disappoint
Arslan Ash overcame the disappointment of Evo to emerge as the winner of VSFighting X in Birmingham, England. Arslan Ash found himself chucked out of the Tekken 7 tournament at Evo, and he came back to VSFighting with a vengeance to ensure that no one forgets what a phenomenal player he is.
Arslan suffered a setback in top 8, falling to JoKa but then went on an incredible losers' bracket run to make it back to grand final and reset the bracket. He then clutched it out winning the last set 3-1.
Top 8 was stacked with great players and the level of performance was incredible.
Top 8 at VSFighting X
It's hard to look beyond Arslan Ash's performance as he didn't drop a single game once he got to losers, winning his games, 2-0, 2-0, and 3-0, speedrunning his way to grand finals. JoKa also did a great job not only throwing Arslan to losers, but also defeating Super Akouma, one of the best players in the world, into losers too.
Also, as a Tekken World Tour Master Event, VSFighting was a chance for players to get points for their respective leaderboards. Since Master events aren't region-locked, it's a great resource for points. With his win, Arslan now has an extra 400 points and JoKa has 300.
The next Master event will take place next month at Rev Major.
