Team Falcons & 2Game Unveiled as First Street Fighter League US Teams
It is already gearing up to be an exciting season

The first two team rosters for the upcoming Street Fighter League (SFL) USA have officially been announced by Capcom through their esports-focused social media channels. The two teams revealed are Team Falcons and 2Game, with the former being a familiar powerhouse, while the latter will be making their debut on the SFL USA stage.

Team Falcons will feature a roster of SFL veterans: DCQ, Oil King, Xian, and NL. This lineup replaces “Team Fighting Spirit,” the name the squad competed under last season. Interestingly, this team has undergone several rebrands over the years, starting as UYU, then Versus Vortex, followed by Fighting Spirit, and now Team Falcons. Their formation dates back to 2022, when they shocked the scene by winning SFL USA under UYU, a major turnaround considering UYU’s poor performances in previous seasons.

Since their debut as a unit, the quartet has consistently made it to the playoffs every single season, even though they haven’t managed to replicate their championship-winning run from 2022. Their stability and synergy make them one of the most dangerous teams in the league.

Meanwhile, 2Game will be the first-ever South American team to compete in SFL USA, bringing fresh energy and talent to the competition. Their roster features some huge names, including Blaz—runner-up at both Capcom Cup and the Esports World Cup, alongside standout players JUNINHO-RASShaka, and Brayan Job.

However, there have been a few surprises. Notably, Zangief Bolado, arguably the most prominent Zangief player from the region and a member of 2Game, is not part of the SFL roster. There’s also some raised eyebrows around the omission of Craime, another young prodigy. While Craime is listed under Team Falcons, his absence there (and the missed opportunity for a loan to 2Game, which is common in SFL) is remarkable to say the least.

Expectations are high that 2Game could make a major impact in their debut season, shaking up the usual SFL hierarchy. All eyes now turn to the remaining team announcements, which are expected to roll out in the coming weeks.

Street Fighter League USA 2025 kicks off this November.
