Ed Boons talks MK1 on X ahead of the yearly Evo tournament

Following the recent news that much of what is coming for Mortal Kombat 1 in 2024 and 2025 would be at the San Diego ComicCon, Ed Boon took to X(formerly Twitter) to make a number of announcements. That, there will be a version of Mortal Kokbat 1 at Evo 2024 where the next DLC character, Takeda, will be playable.

On his thread, Ed also writes about some balance changes that will hit some time in the future, like serious buffs to Nitara, buffs to a handful of Kameo Fighters, and even more than that. All these changes will be in that Evo build alongside Takeda. At the tail end of his post, Ed also thank fans of the series for keeping MK among the most sold games, according to Cicana's data.
