Street Fighter V: Maximilian Dood Explains Recent Resurgence
The veteran streamer gives wonderful analysis of the recent boom in Street Fighter V

A recent development in the FGC has been a lot of nostalgia around Street Fighter V as players and content creators started to go back to the game. This prompted discourse as to whether Street Fighter 6 is actually that good.

Street Fighter 6 was released in 2023 and now, enough time has passed for people to start to grow disillusioned with the game.

Street Fighter V famously had a disastrous launch and then started to become a very good, and balanced game in later seasons. Recently, some Street Fighter V tournaments have been held including a Saltmine League tourney with some top players like EndingWalker and The4Philzz.

However, in a video by veteran streamer, Maximilian Dood, he explained that the love/hate relationship fans have with a game is natural and that there is a certain love one will always have for their first fighting game that no other can top.

Max surmised that some of the love for Street Fighter V popping up now is simply due to the fact that people aren't playing other games and get burned out especially content creators who play the game for a living.

Street Fighter 6 is not a bad game as can be seen by its overwhelming popularity around the world. The game is easily the most popular fighting game right now, and the success of Street Fighter League Japan, Sajam Slam, and Crazy Raccoon Cup has cemented it as one of the most influential fighting games since Street Fighter 2
