Street Fighter League USA Winner Psycho Signed By Virtus.Pro

Shawn Williams better known has Psycho has been announced as the latest player to join Russian esports organization, Virtus.pro. 

Shawn will join Virtus.pro for the Esports World Cup which he has qualified for thanks to his participation in Street Fighter League World Championship which his team, FlyQuest, eventually loses to Good 8 Squad. 

Following the signing, Nikolai Petrossian, CEO of Virtus.pro said, “Last year, we signed a Street Fighter 6 player to gain first-hand experience in a new area of esports. Now that we understand the scene better, we can set clearer goals and outline a plan to achieve them. Our primary focus is a strong performance at the Esports World Cup, but we also plan to compete in Capcom Pro Tour ranking events and continue building the fighting games division at Virtus.pro for the long term.”

In Psycho's response, he said he will be with them for both EWC and for the CPT circuit for this year. So that likely means that the contract will last for about a year. 

Last year, Virtus.pro signed Vxbao for the EWC, and the contract ended soon after. Psycho will be Virtus' second signing in their history in fighting games. We look forward to the partnership.
