Capcom has announced that Street Fighter 6 has been nominated in two categories for the DICE awards. The awards, powered by the Academy of Interactive Arts & Sciences is another indicator of how well Capcom's latest installment in the iconic fighting game series.
The categories it was nominated in are Best Fighting Game of the Year and Online Game of the Year.
In the category of the former, it has to compete with the likes of Mortal Kombat 1, Pocket Bravery, Nickelodeon All-Star Brawl, and very surprisingly, Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising which only came out last month.
It is reasonable to expect Street Fighter to win in this category, but the game will have a much sterner test in the Online game category as it goes up against Diablo, Call of Duty, and Omega Strikers, all very impressive games.
The awards will be held on the 15th of February 2024. You can find all the categories and nominees here.
