Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto unveils Not Pedro as newest SF6 signing

Japanese esports team Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto has unveiled Brazilian player Not Pedro as the latest addition to its Street Fighter 6 roster.

Not Pedro is a strong player who primarily uses Ken, but has recently also been seen playing Sagat. He qualified for Capcom Cup last year and made his debut when the tournament kicked off in March. He endeared himself to the Japanese crowd with his friendliness and camaraderie. There were also memorable moments, including his reaction to qualifying for the second phase and his "pose-off" with Dutch player Xerna.

Not Pedro was released by his previous team, E1, in May.

It is unlikely that Not Pedro will be joining Saishunkan Sol Kumamoto's Street Fighter League team.

Not Pedro is another example of a growing trend of Japanese organizations signing international players. REJECT signed both Big Bird and AngryBird, while Crazy Raccoon announced Dual Kevin as part of its roster earlier this year.

With a new team backing him, Not Pedro is expected to compete in more international tournaments, with the first likely being the Esports World Cup Last Chance Qualifier, where the top six players will qualify for the main event.

Not Pedro also posted about joining his new team, enthusiastically sharing the news on X and promising to represent the organization to the best of his abilities.
