Capcom has set out a few helpful tips for those playing in the beta

Ready or not, Street Fighter 6 Beta #2 is upon us, and Capcom has been so nice as to set out a few things that we need to know before getting started enjoying the game.

The first closed beta test for Street Fighter 6 was in October, and it was an unmitigated success with the general consensus that the game is fun to play and all the features added are a treat. As for the 2nd beta test, there have been some fixes made, but Street Fighter also announced that the characters we got to play around with last time will be the same ones we'll have access to this time. This means Kimberly, Ryu, Ken, Guile, Chun li, Jamie, and Luke. It was hoped that we might get Blanka, Dhalsim, and Honda who have been revealed as characters, but that is not the case.

There is speculation that we might get a surprise character in the beta, which makes some sense as shots, reveals, and general information has been sparse around Cammy. This is suspicious and is a possible hint that she might be available for the beta.

To get players settled into the game, the official Street Fighter Twitter account put out a series of tweets with tips to help players more easily navigate the game. For instance, they stated that the creation menu is vast and that players should take their time to build their avatars as it is a one-time thing for the beta. Also, those who got into the first beta do not need to create a new one.

There were several other tips, including tips on battle hub settings, online play, camera angles, and general stuff.

The closed beta test #2 for Street Fighter 6 will run from the 16th to the 18th of December, 2022. The release date for Street Fighter 6 has already been revealed to be 2nd June 2023 and it is hoped that there is at least one more beta, preferably open, before the final release date.

Did you get a code? If so, who are you most excited to try out?
