Battle Arena Melbourne is the premiere fighting game tournament in Australia and for Street Fighter 6, there was a rush of entrants looking to try out the game and test their mettle against the best in Australia. There were 229 entrants, but only one man could be the winner.
ROF who is a Capcom Cup alumnus and a well-respected player in the region was the winner of the tournament with some very sleek, and sometimes a little annoying, JP play. He was without any real challenge as he zoned his way through the bracket into top 8. Once there, he did not slow down and won game after game all the way to Grand Final. He faced Krown, the best Ryu player in Australia, and won with some ease.
This win means that ROF has won BAM for two years in a row. His dominant performance including only one dropped set for the entirety of Top 8. With this, he can now start setting his sights on the CPT event for Australia and hopefully, a place in Capcom Cup.
