SonicFox Reclaims Their Throne — and Shares Cool MK1 Stuff
Is there anyone in the community able to stop the legend now?

The release of Mortal Kombat 1 (even if only in Early Access for now) has brought so much fresh life and powerful excitement to the NRS community. Pro players and content creators share their early guides (like this one, on how to play Reptile in MK1 by HoneyBee) and various interesting discoveries (like this Rain Combo by HeeyGeOrge). And sure, we all want to know what the most famous MK player thinks about this release and what cool tech they can find and share. SonicFox did not let us down, and their Twitter account already has some pretty awesome clips.

But let’s start this … thread or overview… whatsoever — let’s start with their tweet that creates arguably the most expectations — SonicFox is promising to reclaim their throne. And this means that MK1 esports will be as amazing as we expect it to be.

One of the distinguishing features of this game is the Kameo Fighters mechanic, which brings elements of tag-team fights in Mortal Kombat. SonicFox says that it makes MK1 not even a 2v1 but a 3v1.

And here is a “broken synergy” between a character and a Kameo, Li Mei and Cyrax.

Another interesting synergy is between Ashrah and Scorpion.

MK1 combos should reach an absolutely insane level thanks to all the tools the game has. And SonicFox knows well how to link those attacks together. Here is what their guaranteed 85% combo looks like.

And what about TOD? SonicFox almost did that with Shang Tsung.

SonicFox is one of those players who can play many characters effectively. This probably remains in MK1 too. Here is their combo with Li Mei.

But Liu Kang may have a chance to win this fight for being SonicFox’s main.

Raiden, apparently, is also an option.

You can certainly expect more great MK1 clips from SonicFox, so follow their account to not miss anything.

This type of content creates even bigger anticipation for Mortal Kombat 1 esports events. It will be an absolutely mind-blowing experience to see SonicFox (and other pro players) competing in top-level tournaments. Stay tuned to DashFight for more info and schedule.

Meanwhile, why not treat yourself to watching some Early Access MK1 tournaments?
