Samurai Shodown Rollback Netcode Steam Beta Test is Live

SNK has launched the long-awaited open beta testing of the rollback netcode for the Steam version of Samurai Shodown. Everyone can try online game modes with this feature from the 10th to the 17th of February.

SNK also launched a sale on Steam. You can pick up Samurai Shodown with all 12 additional characters for 75% off, saving over $100. Similar discounts apply to various editions of The King of Fighters XV.

Samurai Shodown is now available for PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Epic Games Store and Steam. The developers plan to add crossplay for all platforms except Switch.

Last November, SNK announced its intention to add rollback netcode support to The King of Fighters XV during the second season, which has already launched with the release of Shingo Yabuki as an additional playable fighter in January 2023.

Beta testing for The King of Fighters XV is expected to start in the spring, and the same period is listed as the release window for the next character beloved by fans of the franchise - Kim Kaphwan.
