Rumor: Soul Calibur Remaster Is Currently In Development

Bandai Namco can now actively work on a remaster of the original Soul Calibur. In any case, this information was shared by game journalist Nick Shpeshal in a recent episode of the Xbox Era podcast. According to the insider, either a remaster or a re-release of Soul Calibur and Soul Calibur 2 for modern platforms in the bundle format may be in development.

Bandai Namco has not confirmed or hinted at the existence of new games in the SoulCalibur series. Still, all fans of the series are clearly looking forward to news of it soon, given the imminent updates to the Tekken and Street Fighter franchises.

In 2022, SoulCalibur: Broken Destiny appeared on the list of potential PlayStation Plus Premium library updates, along with Dino Crisis and Ridge Racers 2, but the publication was soon removed.
