Red Bull Subway Showdown is Back!

Red Bull has been a great ally for the FGC for quite a while now with their amazing tournaments that showcase the very best talents all around the world. The Red Bull Kumite brought a lot of excitement last year and will always be remembered as the first true offline tournament for Street Fighter V after the pandemic. 

Thankfully, they show no signs of slowing down with the announcement of the latest Red Bull tournament— The Red Bull Subway Showdown. 

This is an event that celebrates New York and all it has to offer by bringing the top players from all the boroughs to compete in a team tournament that determines which borough has the bragging rights. 

In a Twitter post, Red Bull Gaming announced the return of this prestigious tournament and has teased that it will be six teams from six communities competing for the top tag. 

In the announcement, Red Bull also revealed the captains of the six teams:

Team Captains

Manhattan & New Jersey

Brooklyn & Staten Island

Queens

Bronx

Long Island

NY State & CT
