Red Bull Kumite Japan Qualifier Winner, Ryukichi, Joins FAV Gaming

Ryukichi is one of the hottest names in the Japanese FGC right now having won the Red Bull Kumite Japan Qualifier which means he is on his way to New York to partake in the RBK play-in tournament which will give him a chance to be one of the 16 players taking part in Red Bull Kumite. 

On top of that, it has been announced that he will be joining FAV Gaming as a member of their fighting game division. 

He joins Sako and Ryusei as members of the team and will be looking for success with them. 

On their official website, FAV Gaming welcomed Ryukichi and wrote a short  piece in which they said, "Ryuukichi is a hardcore fighting gamer who has been participating in the Street Fighter series tournament scene since he was a child.

"Starting with winning the “Catch Me” tournament last year, he earned a professional license by winning the “Nagoya OJA BODY STAR SFL 2024 Tryout Tournament”, and earned a spot on the Japanese national team by winning the “Red Bull Kumite 2024 New York Japan Qualifier”. We achieved good results in consecutive large-scale tournaments. He's one of the most powerful players right now."

Ryukichi also announced his move on social media saying he was a bit nervous, but will do his best. 

This should also mean that he will be representing FAV Gaming at Street Fighter League Japan which will resume later this year presumably with an even larger roster of teams including Tokido's current team, Reject. This would mean that Ryukichi could be taking Tokido's spot and the FAV roster might be Sako, Ryusei, Bonchan and Ryukichi. 

People will get a taste of Ryukichi's prowess at Red Bull Kumite which holds between the 16th and 17th of March 2024.
