Punk Calls Out Xiaohai To $20000 Money Match

The FGC has always been built on personality, and sometimes, those personalities do not get along and we get 'beef'. The Punk v Xiaohai beef has been interesting the community for a little while now and while beef itself is not the most uncommon thing, having two of the biggest players on the planet involved in it is fascinating. 

Following Xiaohai's jab at Punk by taking his place at the top of the MR rankings, Punk has hit back stating that Xiaohai either stop bothering him, or bring $10000 for a FT15 money match. 

Punk stated this on X and even had some words for Capcom Cup IX Grand Finalist, Zhen, telling him to stop posting about the both of them. 

Now, $10000 is a lot of money, but Punk went further to clarify in a follow up post that he meant that each player should put up $10000 each which would mean the winner will take home $20000 in total for winning. In the comments someone suggested that $1000 for a FT10 was reasonable, but Punk would not have it. 

Whether the match would happen or not remains to be seen as $10000 is a steep amount, but who knows? Singaporean FGC veteran and commentator, Zhi, has offered to set up infrastructure, marketing and anything else needed just to see the match happen. 

Zhen for his part, responded with a meme which states 'Always Honest', while Xiaohai hasn't said anything.

Beef sets tend to be some of the most exciting events available, it will be fascinating to see if this goes down.
