Players Caught Playing SF6 Crack Could Be Disqualified From CPT
Capcom released a statement where they laid out possible punishment for those who play the illegal cracked beta

When the Street Fighter 6 beta was first released in October 2022, one of the unfortunate fallouts of that time was that some individuals were able to crack the game and make it available to willing participants.

In a bid to curb the possible repercussions, Capcom issued a statement where they announced that anyone caught playing the cracked beta could be banned from this year's Capcom Pro Tour.

With the announcement of an eye-watering $1,000,000 for the winner of Capcom Cup, attentions have turned more than ever to perceived privileges which could give people an unfair advantage and playing the cracked beta is considered a huge advantage over other people.

Reactions that have followed this announcement is varied with some opining that this is a little too late considering that the crack has been available for about 6 months. Some also raised the issue of implementation, pointing out that it would be hard to catch anyone and conclusively prove that they have played the cracked beta.

Some also argued that since Japan has been known to get some titles early, Capcom's actions are unfair. However, this was countered by the simple fact that playing the cracked beta is a crime.

Street Fighter 6 will come out on the 2nd of June 2023, and it'll be interesting to see how this develops and if anyone will actually be banned.
