Capcom Announce Increase In SFL World Championship Prize Pool
There's even more incentive to win now

Street Fighter League is growing ever more popular with improvements being made in every edition.

The latest improvement is monetary in nature as Capcom have announced that they will have Taiyo Holdings as one of their sponsors for Street Fighter League World Championships and along with the company's support will also come an increase in the prize pool for the competition.

The last tournament saw Good 8 Squad win for the second time and take home $80,000 out of the $150,000 prize pool. From next year, that will be increased to $200,000 with the first placed team winning $100,000.

This should amount to about $25,000 for each team mate.

The upcoming season promises to be the most exciting one. First there is Japan which retains the same exciting two-league structure with 12 teams from last season which was a lot of fun, but with the team compositions even stronger than before, it should be absolute cinema. Over in the United States, not only are they adding a 7th team, that team is from South America, which would be a first for the league. Speaking of firsts, over in SFL EU, the first African team ever has also been invited with Goliath Gaming making the trip to compete in the tournament which will mean some great action.

The leagues will commence soon with Japan starting off later in August and EU and USA to join sometime in the autumn.
