ONIC Sign Chris G For Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves

With the window for clubs to sign players for the upcoming Esports World Cup just about closed, ONIC Esports have pulled off something of a surprise by signing FGC veteran and multiple Evo winner, Chris G, or NYCChrisG. 

They made the announcement on social media and it generated quite some buzz as Chris G has been without a sponsor for quite some time. He reacted to the announcement saying, "Awwwwwww yeaaaaaa!!!!!! Its time! We sponsored boys again. Ready to give it my all. Huge thank you to @onic_esports for the opportunity. Can't wait to play some fighting games at a tournament near you. Special shoutouts to @Blitzcvt and Jae for helping me land this."

Chris G plays multiple fighting games and is good at basically all of them. He took second place at Lvl Up Expo 2025 for Fatal Fury: City Of The Wolves, and it is likely he would have been very strong at Evo Japan if he had gone.

With Chris G, ONIC will look to challenge for the EWC along with their other recent signing, Narikun. 

ONIC are also a new team within the FGC and it'll be interesting to see how well they do in the upcoming EWC.
