Capcom Reveals Date for Yasmine’s Street Fighter 6 Gameplay Trailer
The first ever Filipino fighter will join the cast in August and will be the herald for a new age for Street Fighter 6

Capcom has announced the release date for the gameplay trailer of its newest Street Fighter 6 character, Yasmine.

The Filipino fighter is the first of three new characters set to debut in Street Fighter 6, alongside a crossover addition in Tifa from the Final Fantasy series.

Yasmine's gameplay trailer will be released on June 17th, and excitement is already building as fans prepare for their first substantial look at what the character will bring to SF6.

Notably, this is the first character release following the end of World Tour mode support. The change is already apparent in how Capcom is handling character reveals, with the traditional World Tour teaser absent in favor of a direct gameplay showcase.

In Capcom's official description, Yasmine is described as:

"A highschooler hailing from the Philippines joins the fight to search for her long-lost Kuya. Despite her shy and gentle demeanor, Yasmine beams with confidence whenever she uses her crescent-shaped karambit knife to dance around her opponents at high speed just like her Lolo taught her."

Speculation surrounding her playstyle is already widespread. Some fans believe Yasmine could emphasize mobility in a way similar to Ibuki, while others expect a slower and more technical approach reminiscent of Makoto. Of course, she could also introduce an entirely distinct style of play unique to her character design.

Fans will likely get their first answers once the gameplay trailer arrives.

Yasmine is scheduled to join the Street Fighter 6 roster on August 3rd, 2026.
