Oil King Announces Departure From UYU

Li-Wei Lin, otherwise known as "Oil King", has announced that he will be leaving UYU effective immediately. There is currently no indication of why he made this decision. However, it does seem that he left on the best terms with everyone, and there is no scandal whatsoever. 

In a tweet that he put out on his personal account, Oil King said that he would be leaving the team after five years and great success. With them, he reached some of the greatest heights, especially in recent times when he won the Street Fighter League US edition, and most recently, he was the winner at Evo Japan 2023. 

Oil King thanked everyone for their help in making him the player he is today. 

UYU also responded to the tweet with a message in which they wished Oil King all the best in his future endeavors, and he will be leaving with the best wishes of the team's hierarchy and even the managing director. 

Oil King is one of the most prominent names in Street Fighter from Taiwan, and his relationship with UYU made it seems like he would be there forever, but all good things must come to an end. 

We wish Oil King all the best, too, in Street Fighter 6 and beyond.
