No SF 6 Updates At Capcom Cup, But Major Surprise Awaits Fans
With Capcom Cup upon us, we have something huge to look forward to in terms of announcements

Capcom Cup starts this weekend! Players from all around the world are converging in Hollywood to attend the biggest Street Fighter tournament on the globe, and we are in for an exciting time.

However, if you harbored any hopes of some new Street Fighter 6 information, or videos, or announcements, you will be disappointed as it was announced that there would be nothing regarding Street Fighter 6 to be expected at Capcom Cup.

This was announced by the official Street Fighter Twitter account, where they said that they recognized the hard work of all the players that would make it but that there would be no Street Fighter 6 announcement at the tournament. However, don't cast your eyes down yet as in place of Street Fighter 6 news, we have been promised a huge update regarding the Capcom Pro Tour season for 2023

This is interesting as Street Fighter 6 will be coming out in June which is usually already deep into the CPT cycle, so there was always a question as to what Capcom would do regarding the circuit. Would they persist with Street Fighter V and then switch to 6 when it is released? Or would the start of the season be delayed till June when Street Fighter 6 drops and then condensed to ensure it can wrap up in time?

Whatever the case, we will be getting an answer sometime in the next week or so.

The Last Chance Qualifier of Capcom Cup will take place between the 12th and 13th of February 2023, and it promises to be a blast. While a lot of players have already dropped out, including Daigo, Fuudo, Bonchan, and many more, there are still scores of insane players on the list, including the likes of Brian_F, Tokido, Gachikun, Problem-X, and so on.

Capcom Cup will hold between 14th February and 19th February 2023.
