No NRS Announcements at The Game Awards, Says Ed Boon

Chief Creative Officer of Mortal Kombat & NetherRealm Studios Ed Boon made a statement on his Twitter account that disproved the rumor that the next NRS game can be announced during the upcoming Game Awards 2022.

He said:

"4 years ago at the Game Awards we managed to pull off a surprise announcement of MK11, which turned out great. Perhaps too great, as many assumed we'd repeat that trick for our next game. Thank you for the anticipation, but we're not ready to announce the next NRS game yet."

Many people anticipated that the next MK could be revealed during Geoff Keighley’s annual show, as it has happened previously. However, sadly, we have to wait a little bit longer.
