We thought we could escape it
Elena, the final character for the second season of Street Fighter 6, has seen her gameplay trailer released.
One of the biggest questions surrounding the character was whether her dreaded 'Healing' mechanic was to return. Well, spoiler alert, it is back. In the trailer, after showing off all of Elena's moves, including her supers, the end bits roll by and the screen goes dark. At this point, many hoped that was it, but, right on cue, there was a short final sequence and Elena uttered that terrifying word... "Healing."
The trailer looked great with several details about Elena including her new stage which looks amazing. The stage is called Reniala Remains and Elena has a bunch of moves that will surely make her a strong character in the game.
As for the healing, it is actually incorporated into her level 2 super, Revival Dance, where Elena can forgo some of the super's damage to get some healing and restore some of her life bar.
There were also a few nods to her past, including the choice to use Akuma as her sparring partner as she is the only character, lore-wise, that seems to be friendly with the raging demon.
Elena will join the cast on the 5th of June 2025, and with her will come numerous changes to the game.
She will be playable at Evo Japan in a demo build of the game, but she will be the only character selectable to ensure that players don't get a peak into the changes to be made for Season 3 of the game.
