Mulgold Leaves DN SOOPers
He is a free agent, but should find someone else soon

DN Soopers, formerly known as DN Freecs, have announced that they are parting ways with two of Korea’s top Tekken competitors: Han Jae-gyun and Oh Dae-il, better known as Mulgold and Meo-IL.

Mulgold, who won Combo Breaker 2025 for Tekken 8, has been a standout performer during his time with the team. In their social media post announcing his departure, DN Soopers expressed both pride and appreciation for his contributions.

Their statement read:

FAREWELL: MULGOLD

“We officially announce that our contract with MulGold has ended.
From a player full of potential to one of the greatest professionals today, we are proud to have worked with him.
His future will continue to shine, and we hope to see him compete in many tournaments going forward. GG!”

Mulgold responded with a heartfelt message of his own, thanking the organization and those around him for their support:

“First, I would like to express my heartfelt gratitude to DN Soopers for their unwavering support over the past two years. While competing under DN, I was able to learn so much and gain invaluable experience.

The biggest factor in my growth was the help and support of my fellow players. I would like to especially thank the Chebemang, Ulsan, and Merrill players.

I am also deeply grateful to Head Coach Joo Young-dal and Manager Ho Jin-sol for their constant support.

Above all, thank you to all the fans who have always cheered for me. I will continue to work hard and aim to show even better performances in the future.”

Despite the departures of both Mulgold and Meo-IL, DN Soopers still boast an incredibly strong roster, including ULSAN, the reigning Esports World Cup champion, and veteran standout CherryBerryMango (CBM).

Mulgold leaves the team after an exceptional competitive run. In addition to his Combo Breaker victory, he finished second at Evo Japan, placed top 8 at the Esports World Cup, and secured fourth place at Evo Las Vegas. He also claimed multiple victories in SOOP events, including Super Tournament 2025.

Given his results and consistency, it would come as no surprise to see another top organization move quickly to secure his signature.
