Korean Tekken players Lim Soo-Hoon and Bae Jae-Min, better known as ULSAN and Knee have both been inducted into the Korean Esports Association Hall of Fame for 2025.
For the Hall of Fame ceremony, there are three categories of awards that are handed out:
- Honors: This is a category for retired players who have left an indelible mark on the game they competed in. It is a permanent induction.
- Stars: These are players who have shown extraordinary skill in a calendar year and have excelled in their game of choice. The designation lasts for a year with only 6 players awarded each year.
- Heroes: These are players who have done really well within a league for their game of choice.
ULSAN and Knee were two of the six inductees into the Stars categories for their impressive performances in Tekken for the year. ULSAN made history as he won the Esports World Cup for the 2nd time in a row, a feat that is by no means easy. Meanwhile, Knee cemented his legacy with a 4th Evo win at Evo Japan 2025.
Meanwhile, over on the Street Fighter 6 side, Shin Moon-Sup, otherwise known as LeShar, was inducted into the Heroes category for his performances in Street Fighter 6 where he won three majors this year along with a top-place finish at Street Fighter League Japan with REJECT.
