Street Fighter 6 may not receive constant patches, but the meta is always evolving. As character knowledge expands, so does their potential, often leading to a shifting usage rate.

What's also interesting is that two different control schemes lead to quite a wild difference in usage rates. While Akuma is beyond dominant for Classic users, yet nowhere near as popular for Modern, where Ken is still the king.

Overall, many placements are actually quite close to each other, but another interesting exception is Ed. The original "Modern" character seems to feel right at home with a simplified control scheme, with a top 3 placement in Modern, and 9th on Classic.
