MenaRD has cast doubt on his availability for Evo France, raising concerns that he may not be able to compete for a historic “Evo trifecta.” Widely regarded as the best Street Fighter player in the world, and possibly the greatest of all time, MenaRD has already won Evo Japan (for the second year running) and Evo Las Vegas in 2025. Securing all three Evo titles in a single year would have been an unprecedented achievement, but visa complications may prevent his participation in France.
Speaking on social media, the Dominican champion said:
“There’s a possibility Evo France might not happen for me. I would love to have the chance to complete the Evo trifecta, with Japan, USA and France, but life sometimes has other plans. I’ll try my best to be there.”
When pressed by fans to clarify, he explained:
“Since a lot of people are asking, some personal issues are not allowing me to make the visa process on a timely manner. I’ve gotten good at it, but my passport is still a big factor on attending events.”
Visa struggles are a recurring problem for many players traveling to American events, but they are less common with European tournaments, making Mena’s situation particularly unusual.
