Kunimitsu Returns in Tekken 8, Early Access May 28th

Bandai Namco confirmed Kunimitsu as part of Tekken 8 Season 3, with early access beginning May 28. The character returns as DLC under the title “Enchanted Thief,” continuing her use of Manji Ninjutsu while expanding her role in the current story. Her profile places her at Mishima Polytechnical School, where she operates undercover and crosses paths with Reina, setting up a tense alliance built on mutual suspicion.

The update adds more context to Kunimitsu’s motivations, tying her to the Kuatatou—nine cursed blades linked to the Mishima bloodline and now integrated into her Rage Art. Her story also reinforces existing rivalries, particularly with Yoshimitsu, while framing her as a character driven by both personal stakes and opportunism. It’s a more involved version of Kunimitsu, with narrative weight that goes beyond a standard DLC addition.
