At least you don't have to wait to play with your mates if you are making the jump to the next generation day one.

Mortal Kombat 11 owners finally got confirmation that yes, Xbox and PlayStation players, in either generation of the consoles, will be able to play against each other. Sadly, this does not extend to those on PC or Nintendo Switch.

Many fans have been unhappy that it has been such a long time without cross-play compatibility. PC players in particular are starting to feel the burn of not being able to enjoy the game with their console friends. It is still unclear as to why NetherRealm Studios and publisher Warner Brothers have not made any efforts to enable the feature across all platforms. Or what would be limiting them from doing so.
