Korone Pays Tribute to the Late Nanai With Impressive Rank Up
The Vtuber spoke about the late pro player and commentator on her stream paying a huge tribute to his legacy

Popular Vtuber, Korone, hosted a stream where she played some Street Fighter 6 ranked and made it all the way from Silver to Platinum which was an impressive feat by itself, but was even more touching when she attributed her rank up to her teacher, the late Nanai.

Nanai was a Japanese player and commentator who passed away on the 9th of August after suffering a heart attack. He had been at Evo and had been in good spirits, so news of his death shocked the entire FGC.

Korone had been tutored by Nanai for four days when she prepared for Crazy Racoon Cup. She used JP, and thanks to his training, she became quite proficient with the character.

Korone later sat down to talk about Nanai's death stating that she was very sad even if she wasn't as close to him as many others. She was also struck by how the FGC reacted and was impressed by their determination to keep moving forward.

She encouraged her viewers to express their emotions, but to be careful not to be sad all the time.

She also cried out to Nanai saying that she made Platinum. She asked her viewers to take several screenshots in hopes that it would somehow reach Nanai.

Nanai was a member of Good 8 Squad and a commentator on Street Fighter League Japan. At Evo, he took 6th place in Idol Showdown and was in the top 200 for Street Fighter 6

Rest on, Nanai.
