Ken and Cammy Dominate Usage Charts For Street Fighter 6
The American billionaire and the English spy are the two most popular characters in Street Fighter 6 right now

Ken and Cammy are some of the oldest characters in Street Fighter, with the latter making her debut in Street Fighter II while Ken has been around from the very first game as Ryu's rival.

Interestingly, Ryu has generally enjoyed the bigger fanbase as he has always been a beginner-friendly character and as the protagonist of the story, he is a favorite amongst newer players and fans. But, Street Fighter 6's Ken was presented a lot differently, making him a more fun character to explore within the story. The focus on his story in the prequel comics and his new look are all things that might have led to his surge in popularity.

This was made abundantly clear in the new usage statistics released by Capcom, showing the most used characters across different ranks. Ken and Cammy are at the top in different categories.

There are eight ranks in Street Fighter 6. The usage statistics divided its findings into three broad categories: the first being the Rookie league which houses all those new to the game. The second houses Iron, Bronze, Silver, and Gold ranks, and this is the intermediate class. The final and highest class includes Platinum, Diamond, and Master.

For the Rookie leagues, Cammy was the top used character, with Juri and Ken coming second and third, respectively. Ryu and Luke round out the top five which is fitting as the two 'protagonists' of the game.

The other ranks are dominated by Ken, who is easily one of the best characters in the game. Between the Iron and Gold ranks, Ken is king, followed by Cammy, then Juri, Ryu, and Marisa. The Roman warrior is perhaps the most popular new addition to the game, and her simple playstyle and big damage are also reasons why some might go for her. For the top players, Ken is still the top man, but the others on the list are a tad different. The second most popular is Marisa, and I wonder how much of this had to do with Big Bird's stunning victory in South Africa, where he showcased the terrifying potential of Marisa. Next is Ryu, then Manon, and finally, JP

Rashid will be joining the game later this month and it will be interesting to see how the player base receives him. Until someone else comes along, Ken is the undisputed King of Street Fighter (he definitely did not bribe his way there.)
