JP Player, ACQUA, Appointed as Ryusei's Coach For Street Fighter 6
Following the footsteps of Team Detonation FocusMe and Tokido, Ryusei has now gotten a coach for himself too

Ryusei 'Ryusei' Ito, a Street Fighter 6 pro player who is currently signed with FAV Gaming and is participating in Street Fighter League, has announced that another veteran pro player, Takashi 'ACQUA' Akiyama, will become his personal coach for the rest of the season.

This is a move the official FAV Gaming Twitter account announced, and the player himself confirmed in a YouTube video where he outlined his aspirations for Street Fighter 6 and what he hopes to achieve.

Ryusei is a very strong player who has several strong showings in tournaments including a top 8 finish at CEO 2019. ACQUA is a veteran player who also plays DBFZ and is currently signed to Hiroshima Team iXA. He is a JP player, but since his team did not make it to the second stage of Street Fighter League Japan, he is free to offer coaching services to other players. As Ryusei uses JP, this is a perfect match.

According to the FAV Gaming tweet, the coaching contract will continue throught the rest of the SFL season along with the Capcom Cup Last Chance Qualifiers and the online Japan CPT event.

The trend of getting official coaches seems relatively new in Japan and we saw recently that legendary Japanese pro player, Tokido appointed Burning Core pro player, Tachikawa as his coach for the rest of the season.

The Japanese CPT event will take place between the 2nd and 3rd of December 2023 where there will be at least one new entrant into Capcom Cup from Japan.
