If you want a Super to destroy them all
There are different ways to build tier lists for fighting games. The most popular approach is to consider the general power of a character and how they perform in matches. Sometimes, pro players and content creators decide to highlight one specific aspect, which could be something quite serious, like in-tournament potential, or something silly, like, say, the best haircut (and the sky’s the limit here).
Incendiate has created another tier list for Soulcalibur VI, and it’s serious alright. The 2-time EVO champion ranks characters by their Soul Charge State. Let’s take a look!
For me personally, it’s always interesting to check out where the tier list creator puts their main/secondary characters. Incendiate plays Geralt, Xianghua, and Ivy — switching between them at most SC6 esports tournaments (such as ECT 2023).
So, what do we have here? Geralt and Ivy is A, and Xianghua is B. It feels like a Super Move itself doesn’t make a character super powerful — or even the best for a player.
Another SC6 player, JJJ, has shared two tier lists recently: one for fundamentally powerful fighters and one for fun-to-play. The difference in the top tier is not that drastic, though.
