Guilty Gear -Strive- Developer's Backyard Details Season 3 Updates
Guilty Gear -Strive- Hits Milestone

According to the latest Guilty Gear-Strive- Developer's Backyard update, the popular fighting game has reached a new milestone of over 2.5 million players globally. This comes a year after hitting 1 million players in August 2022.

Arc System Works is continuing development on game updates to celebrate this achievement. Season 3 of Guilty Gear -Strive- launched on August 24, 2023, bringing a revamped menu UI and Quick Access feature for faster game mode selection.

The Developer's Backyard revealed that Season 3 introduced new special moves for May, Faust, Ramlethal, Giovanna, Anji, and I-No. New moves are planned for original characters in future updates to refresh gameplay.

Two new battle mechanics were added - Wild Assault and Deflect Shield, powered by the Burst gauge resource. A large-scale balance patch aligned with the new season.

A September 2023 survey of 37,000 players showed an increase in players under 25. Characters like Sol, Bridget, and others remain popular. Players requested A.B.A., Elphelt, Slayer, and Dizzy as future roster additions.

Players hope for more story content and network improvements in upcoming updates. The team prioritizes stability and security while planned network upgrades are not yet detailed.

With ongoing support from its community, Guilty Gear -Strive- intends to deliver new content, mechanics, balance changes, and quality-of-life updates for Season 3 and beyond.
