Guile Revealed As Street Fighter 6's Latest Character

Guile has been confirmed for Street Fighter 6!

At the Summer Game Fest live stream, the Street Fighter 6 reveal showed Guile and we even got to see some gameplay. The man with the wildest hairstyle in the Street Fighter universe returns and is the first post-trailer player to be released. 

If you remember, Guile was not part of the base roster for Street Fighter V but was released as a DLC character. It was speculated that Kimberly, a new character that eagle-eyed individuals spotted in the SF6 trailer, might be the one getting the reveal today, but it turns out to be Guile.

In terms of appearance, Guile looks really good as he keeps his signature hairstyle and seems to be growing a bit of a beard. This follows the trend in Street Fighter 6 in which characters look visibly aged. Also, we got a look at Guile's stage which kept to its classic roots with airplanes in the background and a bunch of military guys as spectators. But with the bright lighting of the stage, everything looks so much better. 

Also, it seems like he kept his V-Trigger 1 and V-Skill 1 from Street Fighter V which makes us wonder how it'll be incorporated with the all-new Drive System. 

We should get more information at the Capcom showcase coming up next Monday, 13th June 2022. We might get another character or just some more gameplay. 

Street Fighter 6 is scheduled for release in 2023 and will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox, and Steam.
