Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising Shows off a Bit of Ilsa Gameplay

Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising is back again with their newest character – Ilsa. She will be joining the game's roster in a few weeks on February 10th, and to show off a bit of what she can do, Cygames put out a gameplay trailer.

It's slightly under two minutes, but should give you a decent idea of what to expect from Ilsa in terms of personality and playstyle.

While she's equipped with several guns (mainly using two flintlock style pistols), Ilsa seems to represent a rare, almost non-existent archetype of a close range gun brawler. While she shows off some long range projectile, zoning isn't shown as one of her strengths.

At least in the trailer, she's all about getting into the opponent's face and then blasting that face with a big selection of different gun attacks and surprisingly acrobatic kicks, with bigger projectiles being used to finish off strings and combos.

She even has a fairly interesting setup where she summons a bomb strike and then positions the opponent in a way that guarantees a follow-up hit.
