Electronic Dojo, the tournament organizer responsible for the UK’s biggest fighting game tournament, VSFighting, has announced that it has received a 5-star designation within the Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising world tour.
Granblue Fantasy Versus: Rising recently got its own dedicated circuit/ world tour after three years of being part of the Arc World Tour. It will now be officially sponsored by Cygames. It has categorizations for tournaments with 5-star, 4-star, 3-star and 2-star tournaments all working within the ecosystem. The 5-star tournaments grant automatic qualification for the finals while other events are worth a number of points which go on a leaderboard of which the top 8 will also qualify for the finals.
VSFighting has been in the FGC since 2010 making it one of the oldest European fighting game events. Over time, its relevancy has fluctuated between being a tier 1 event or lower. However, in recent years it has grown in relevancy and is now a designated top event for both GBVS and Guilty Gear -STRIVE-.
Registration for 2026’s VSFighting is now on and the event is set to take place between the 24th and 26th of July 2026.
