Granblue Fantasy Is Finally Getting a Global Steam Release

The newest Granblue Fantasy Fes once again resulted in a lot of interesting news about the game that arguably played a big role in shaping the current mobage market. A game that also spawned two fighting game entries, some of which people bought just for the bonuses in the mobile game.

One thing it always evaded, however, are western markets. You might find this odd, as many people in the west clearly play and enjoy the game, but it's typically done through roundabout means, because the game never officially launched outside of Japan, and never made it outside of the mobile platform. 

That wasn't unusual back when the game launched, but arguably Genshin Impact was the game to really curb this trend, with many modern mobage also having a PC version, like Infinity Nikki or Zenless Zone Zero.

Cygames finally decided that it's time to port their darling too, so on March 10, 2026, the game will launch on Steam for everyone but Japanese players.

Also, bad news for people who wanted to link the accounts and bring all of their progress to PC. The new Steam version will require a completely new start, which might end up being a plus for the few who wanted to experience the journey all anew.
