Good 8 Squad Look Unstoppable in SFL Japan Week 4

The fourth match day of Street Fighter League Japan action took place today, and the battle for playoff positions is already heating up.

The schedule featured CAG Osaka vs. Sol Kumamoto, Crazy Raccoon vs. FAV Gaming, and Good 8 Squad vs. Nagoya OJA NTP.

CAG Osaka vs. Sol Kumamoto
CAG picked up a much-needed 30–20 victory over SSK, with the highlight being rookie player Takagi defeating veteran Machabo. CAG have endured a tough season so far, including a devastating 40–0 loss to Good 8 Squad. While today’s result didn’t lift them out of sixth place, it could spark the momentum they need to climb the standings.

Crazy Raccoon vs. FAV Gaming
Crazy Raccoon earned a convincing win against FAV Gaming, a team still struggling to find form after their incredible SFL championship run in 2023. Despite bringing in new talent, FAV has yet to rediscover last year’s dominance. On the other hand, Crazy Raccoon appears to be improving with each match day. Bonchan’s Sagat continues to shine, while Dogura’s Elena has become a dangerous weapon, showcased in his commanding 3–0 victory over Fujimura in the anchor match.

Good 8 Squad vs. Nagoya OJA NTP
The final match saw defending champions Good 8 Squad take on NTP, one of this season’s breakout teams. NTP’s standout player, Kei.B, has been flawless so far, winning 100% of his matches and establishing himself as the team’s ace. Despite his strong performances, NTP fell to an unstoppable Good 8 Squad.

After a surprise opening-day loss to Crazy Raccoon, Good 8 Squad have bounced back in dominant fashion, winning their last three matches, including a 40–0 sweep of CAG Osaka. With momentum firmly on their side, they are looking like serious contenders to defend their title.

The next match day will feature Good 8 Squad vs. FAV Gaming, giving the champions another chance to solidify their place at the top of the table.
