Golden Joystick Awards - MK 1 Best Multiplayer, SF6 With 4 Nominations

Industry award show Golden Joystick just announced the winners of their 2023 class. The only Fighting Games title to bag an award during the ceremony was Mortal Kombat 1, earning best multiplayer game over Street Fighter 6, Diablo 4, Exoprimal, Remnant 2, and We Were Here Expeditions: The FriendShip.

This was not the only category Mortal Kombat was nominated for however, the NetherRealm Studios team also earned a shout in the Best Game Trailer category.

Street Fighter 6 was nominated for four awards in total, with entries in Best Visual Design, Best Multiplayer Game, PlayStation Game of The Year, and the acclaimed Ultimate Game of the Year.

For its part, Tekken 8 was able to sneak into the competition with a nomination for Most Wanted Game, losing out to Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth.
