The 6th week of Street Fighter League USA is the first of the second half with teams now fighting tooth and nail to make it to the playoffs. The three teams on display were:

  • FlyQuest vs. Red Rooster
  • Cloud9 vs. Fighting Spirit
  • Bandits vs. Shopify Rebellion

The first match was... a bit of a bloodbath. Red Rooster have had an underwhelming season so far and are rooted to the bottom of the table with no wins in 6 weeks and with a growing reputation fo being the new UYU who also struggled for results. FlyQuest soundly defeated Red Rooster with the Punk-led team barely getting out of 2nd gear and more or less joking the whole way through.

In the second match of the day was a great shock as Fighting Spirit who made up team UYU not too many years ago and got a surprise win in the Grand Final, defeated high-flying Cloud9 0-40. The win was not the shock, but rather, the manner of it with Oil King winning the mirror match against JB after getting called out by the latter. The second match saw NoahTheProdigy fall to the talents of NL and DCQ showing his insane credentials by defeating Booce. DCQ had been down a game, and made the decision to switch to JP from where he was able to clutch out the victory.

The 3rd match was a lot more balanced as Shopify Rebellion who have not had the season they hoped, were able to bring the scores back to level points against Bandits, but MenaRD was able to get the final victory.

Fighting Spirit are now on top of the table and will look to see if they can keep that spot next week when they take on week 7 of the Street Fighter League.
