FGC Pros React To Ed's New Gameplay

With Ed's gameplay trailer now available for everyone to have a look at, people all over the world have been reacting to the Balrog replacement and what he brings to the game. 

What is clear is that Capcom has leaned more into his boxer roots as Ed has no kick moves unlike Street Fighter V where he had a couple. Here, his kick moves are punches that can hit low and send out something like a psycho vine or whip against the opponent. 

Ed also has a crossup which is something Balrog never had and with his command dash, evasive back step, and reversal, Ed looks like a complete character. 

This seems to be the consensus among most of the FGC's biggest personalities as most of the videos and comments show that Ed looks to be a top tier character. 

Brian_F, who has been outspoken about his disdain for the character was visibly impressed as he broke down a lot of what the character was bringing to the table and his abilities in his reaction video. 

Justin Wong and iDom also commented on the character in reaction videos of their own stating that he has not only one of the most disrespectful level 3s in the game, but was also a powerhouse from the looks of it 

Players on X also had similar sentiments with many pro players and commentators talking up Ed's punch animations, speed, and power. 

Ed will be released on the 27th of February after Capcom Cup.
