The Esport World Cup, Saudi Arabia's backed esport venture, announced today that Street Fighter 6 will be one of the now dozen titles with a tournament in Riyadg this summer. It is not the first time Street Fighter has been present in the country, with Gamers8's invitational tournament last year.

Street Fighter 6 will join the extensive list of games at the inaugural Esport World Cup.
Street Fighter 6 is the first fighting game to join the group of tournaments, but it is unlikely to be the last, as Tekken 8 could also join the event on account of last year's Gamers8's Tekken Nations Cup.
