The first day of DBFZ World Tour 2022/2023 Global Finals is over, and it boosted the excitement about the Top 8 part to the next level.
Let’s check out results of the Last Chance Qualifier and take a close look at every of four Groups.
Ikoan and WADE entered the Top 8 part through the parallel brackets. WADE had a pretty confident victory over Kite. Ikoan defeated Noka.
In the Winners Final, WADE unleashed his power and with a 3:0 sent Ikoan to the Losers bracket.
Ikoan had a pretty difficult match vs dekillsage to face WADE again.
While playing in the Grand Final, both players already knew that they were in the Group Stage. But it felt like it did not affect WADE’s motivation. He defeated Ikoan 3:0 and won the Last Chance Qualifier.
This group has brought one of the most unexpected results — LegendaryyPred is out of the tournament. The guy lost his very first game to Hayat, and that became a heavy burden for him.
Shanks did not lose a match and reached the last fight vs LegendaryyPred knowing he was in the Grand Final. The victory here had only one meaning — Shanks boosted his European mate, Seyhan, to 2nd place in Group A.
And Shanks did it! In a spectacular way, the Spanish player won, so Europe got two spots in the Top 8 part.
In this group, the USA took revenge on Europe.
No one had a flawless run here, but Tako managed to place 1st thanks to his set result.
The last match was decisive for 2nd place. INZEM defeated Yasha and kicked the French legend out of the tournament. And what a match that was!
Two Top players of this group were known before the last game, but Fenritti and Kayne had to decide who would proceed to the Winners side.
The Japanese player turned out to be significantly stronger. Fenritti has a 4:0 score in the group. Kayne has been sent to the lower bracket of the Top 8 part.
The LCQ winner, WADE, played great and got his spot on the Winners side even despite losing a game to Xanxus.
In the final game, Zane played against OBAssassin and got a confident victory — to proceed to the elimination brackets of Top 8.
We are totally happy to admit that DBFZ esports is as unexpected as always, so almost all our previous predictions did not make it to reality. Or we could put it in a different way and say that some of them were correct — it’s up to you to decide.
Anyways, the Top 8 part of DBFZ World Tour 2022/2023 Global Finals should be super intense. Stay tuned to DashFight to be in the whirl of everything around this and other fighting esports tournaments!
