DBFZ: Ultimate Patch is Coming at the End of August
If you expected an announcement at Evo 2023 — don’t. Rollback Netcode has been delayed

The official Twitter account of Bandai Namco Esports published some info about their DBFZ plans. There is not much in there, but the information is still valuable.

  • The second round of balance adjustments will be released at the end of August 2023. This is kind of the final version of Dragon Ball FighterZ, with a very low probability of getting anything else in the future. It’s a promised addition to Patch 1.32, released in May.
  • Rollback Netcode — the public beta test on Steam has been delayed, and the timing should become known a bit later. (Do you remember the excitement of hearing the news at the previous Evo?)
  • DBFZ World Tour 2023/2024 starts with a Power+ event at Evo 2023, as it was planned.

For esports professionals, the announcement brings more certainty about their tournament plays. It feels like even VSFighting XI will be with the current game build — it’s a Power event, and it happens on August 20.

We at DashFight are gonna cover the World Tour tournaments (and enjoy the game in its current and updated state). Stay tuned!
