Daikoku To Leave VARREL After Evo Japan
He will stay with the company as a member of staff

Professional Street Fighter 6 player, Daikoku, has been announced to be leaving his current organization, VARREL's, Street Fighter division. This came in a short statement where VARREL stated that Daikoku will represent the company for the last time as a player at Evo Japan 2025.

While he will no longer play for them or be part of their Street Fighter League team, he will remain as a member of staff.

The statement reads:

"We are pleased to announce that Daikoku will be leaving the VARREL Street Fighter division. He continued to support the team as the "pillar" of the SF division in 2024, and played many memorable matches, especially in the SF League, making him a beloved presence among many fans.

"From now on, he will be working at VARREL as a support staff member for the team. Please look forward to VARREL Daikoku's further achievements.

"Furthermore, EVO JAPAN, which will be held from May 9th, will be his last match as a member of the company.

"Thank you for your support."

Daikoku has been a bit of an on and off player leaving the scene in 2019 before returning to full professional status in 2023. He joined VARREL in 2024 and was part of the team that participated in SFL Japan.

This means that VARREL are now down to just Mago and Mizuha and the team will look largely different when SFL comes around again later this year. It is a little bittersweet as the trio of Mago, Moke and Mizuha had been one of the most stable teams, even making the move from the disbanded Gyogun to VARREL together.
